"summary": "Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is offering 116 new oil and gas blocks to global investors to boost domestic production and ensure energy sovereignty amid global geopolitical pressures. Key initiatives include regulatory reforms for flexible contracting, fiscal incentives based on field risks, and accelerated permitting under Government Regulation No. 28 of 2025, building on major discoveries like the Geliga Well in the Ganal Block. These efforts aim to attract investment in the upstream sector, with mitigation strategies in place such as energy import diversification and enhanced bilateral cooperation to address disruptions like those in the Strait of Hormuz.",
