        "content": "<p>Indonesia\u2019s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil\nLahadalia, has assured that the Indonesian government is continuously\nengaging in intensive communications with the Iranian government to\nfacilitate the exit of two Pertamina tankers from the Strait of\nHormuz.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not easy for us to figure out how to get our ships out of the\nStrait of Hormuz. But we are continuously building communications,\u201d\nBahlil said when met at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for\nEconomic Affairs in Jakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>PT Pertamina (Persero) had previously confirmed the safety of the\ncrew of the tankers owned by PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS)\nthat remain in the Strait of Hormuz, amidst the geopolitical tensions\nbetween Iran and the United States (US).<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, on Wednesday (4\/3), Bahlil also assured that the\nentrapment of the two ships in the Strait of Hormuz does not disrupt\nIndonesia\u2019s energy security, as Indonesia quickly seeks alternative\nenergy supplies from the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Pertamina\u2019s Vice President of Corporate Communication, Muhammad\nBaron, on Tuesday (3\/3), stated that a total of four related ships are\ninvolved, but the other two are outside the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n<p>Baron mentioned that the cargo of crude oil originating from the\nMiddle East currently accounts for around 19 percent of total crude oil\nimports to Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, Pertamina has prepared distribution schemes through\nregular, alternative, and emergency systems to maintain national energy\nsecurity.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, on Friday (27\/3), the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign\nAffairs (Kemlu) confirmed that the Iranian government has responded\npositively to the Indonesian government\u2019s request for the two Pertamina\ntankers still detained in the Strait of Hormuz to pass safely.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Spokesperson of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign\nAffairs, Vahd Nabyl A.
