        "content": "<p>Speaking before Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the House of\nRepresentatives, Puan said both parliaments should deliver concrete\nbenefits for the people of Indonesia and India.<\/p>\n<p>She said the two countries should deepen development cooperation and\nwork together to safeguard regional stability amid intensifying\ngeopolitical rivalry and global challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Puan called for stronger cooperation not only between the two\ngovernments but also between their legislatures.<\/p>\n<p>She said parliamentary diplomacy complements government diplomacy by\nexpanding dialogue, strengthening mutual trust and supporting bilateral\nand multilateral initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Puan welcomed the Indian Parliament\u2019s establishment of the\nIndia-Indonesia Parliamentary Friendship Group in February 2026 and\nexpressed hope it would work closely with Indonesia\u2019s counterpart,\nformed in January 2025.<\/p>\n<p>She said Modi\u2019s visit would further strengthen relations and deliver\ntangible benefits for both countries.<\/p>\n<p>Puan said economic cooperation should extend beyond trade to include\nvalue-added industries, downstream processing, technology transfer and\nstronger regional supply chains.<\/p>\n<p>She also reaffirmed support for closer coordination between the two\ngovernments and parliaments to promote a transparent,\ninvestment-friendly business environment.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto also attended Modi\u2019s\nparliamentary visit.
