        "content": "<p>Brigadier General Untung Widyatmoko, head of the Indonesian police\u2019s\nInternational Relations Division, said Selman was a high-profile\nfugitive sought by NCB Addis Ababa under Interpol\u2019s Infra Africa 2.0\nHarare operation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIRN (Interpol Red Notice) subject committed large-scale fraud in\nEthiopia, victimizing many people,\u201d Untung said in a statement received\nin Jakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Selman\u2019s modus operandi was to pose as a representative of a trading\ncompany and offer investment opportunities. His crimes caused losses of\nabout 46.45 million Ethiopian birr (ETB), or about US$285,000.<\/p>\n<p>Untung said Selman was arrested while passing through I Gusti Ngurah\nRai Airport in Bali on Sunday, September 6. Several days later, the\nInternational Relations Division repatriated him.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, September 16, at 12:50 p.m. local time, the Indonesian\npolice team and Selman arrived at Addis Ababa International Airport in\nEthiopia.<\/p>\n<p>They then traveled to the Ethiopian Federal Police headquarters under\nescort from NCB Addis Ababa.<\/p>\n<p>At the Ethiopian Federal Police headquarters, the Indonesian police\u2019s\nInternational Relations Division formally handed Selman over to\nEthiopian police.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe IRN subject is a large-scale fraud suspect.
