We hope this cooperation can\ncontinue, including the dispatch of Indonesian students to Germany.\nCurrently, interest among Indonesian students in participating in\ninternational programs in Germany continues to grow,\u201d the minister said\nin a statement received on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Yuliarto noted that Indonesia and Germany have maintained\nstrong and long-standing cooperation, particularly in higher education\nand research.<\/p>\n<p>He also encouraged the expansion of university partnerships,\nincluding joint degree and double degree programmes.<\/p>\n<p>The minister promoted the development of doctoral programmes, joint\nresearch funding, and academic exchanges with Germany to support\nnational priority programmes in food security, renewable energy, clean\nwater, industrial downstreaming, digitalisation, and national\ndefence.<\/p>\n<p>In response, Ambassador Beste affirmed that strengthening educational\ncooperation and student exchanges remains a priority for the German\nEmbassy in Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>He also highlighted a planned visit by the president of the German\nAcademic Exchange Service (DAAD), who also serves as rector of the\nUniversity of Cologne, as a potential forum for discussions with\nIndonesian university rectors to enhance institutional cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe consider this one of our main responsibilities at the embassy,\nfor the science attach\u00e9, the cultural attach\u00e9, and certainly for me as\nwell, to increase student exchanges,\u201d Beste said.<\/p>",
