Indonesia has established a new holding company, Kawasan\nIndustri Indonesia, to consolidate the management of state-owned\nindustrial estates and strengthen the country\u2019s investment appeal, a\nsenior official said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The new holding company is part of a broader effort to simplify the\nmanagement structure of industrial estates, which the government\nbelieves has lacked focus and integration, according to Dony Oskaria,\nchief operating officer of Danantara Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKawasan Industri Indonesia is a new holding company dedicated\nspecifically to managing all of our industrial estates and is expected\nto become one of the key drivers for attracting investment,\u201d Dony said\nin Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>According to Dony, industrial estate operations have previously been\nmixed with unrelated business lines, creating the need for a specialized\nentity to manage the sector in a more integrated and professional\nmanner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are changing the business model to focus specifically on\nindustrial estates,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Dony explained that the holding company will oversee all industrial\nestates owned by Indonesia\u2019s state-owned enterprises through a more\nstructured management approach.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, state-owned industrial estates were managed within the\nDanareksa ecosystem. In 2024, Danareksa also announced plans to\nmodernize industrial estate clusters and reduce dependence on land sales\nas the primary business model.<\/p>\n<p>Under the latest restructuring led by Danantara, Danareksa will\nrefocus on asset management activities, while industrial estate\noperations will be transferred to the newly established dedicated\nholding company.<\/p>\n<p>Several subsidiaries previously managed by Danareksa have already\nbeen moved under Danantara\u2019s control as part of Indonesia\u2019s broader\nstate-owned enterprise restructuring program.<\/p>\n<p>Dony said the legal restructuring process is targeted for completion\nby 2026, allowing Kawasan Industri Indonesia to begin full operations in\n2027.<\/p>\n<p>Tags: Keywords:<\/p>",
