        "content": "<p>Indonesia\u2019s Creative Economy Ministry is stepping up chef training to\nboost the quality of the government\u2019s free nutritious meals programme,\naiming to raise food standards while supporting the culinary industry\nand local economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya said the MASAMO, or\nCooking with Master Chefs, programme strengthens kitchen workforce\nskills and expands creative industry involvement to lift national\nculinary standards and regional economic output.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough MASAMO, we are strengthening kitchen human resources while\nencouraging creative industry participation to raise culinary standards\nand generate tangible local economic impact,\u201d Riefky said in a statement\nreleased in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative supports President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s directive to\nrevive intellectual property-based creative industries nationwide, with\nculinary prioritised among 17 subsectors targeted as new drivers of\neconomic growth.<\/p>\n<p>MASAMO delivers hands-on training for cooks at Nutrition Fulfilment\nService Units (SPPG), or kitchens, focusing on menu quality, variety,\nhygiene, and nutritional content in line with National Nutrition Agency\nstandards.<\/p>\n<p>The latest session takes place at SPPG Rajabasa 3 in Lampung,\ninvolving the ministry, provincial and city governments, the National\nNutrition Agency, kitchen managers, national kitchenware producer Oxone,\nand MasterChef Indonesia judge Chef Norman Ismail.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 50 SPPG cooks undergo intensive training covering food\nsafety, personal hygiene, ingredient management, cooked food storage,\nHazard Analysis and Critical Control Points application, healthy\ncooking, and efficient community kitchen operations.<\/p>\n<p>Riefky said the programme currently reaches about 65 million\nbeneficiaries nationwide through more than 21,897 SPPG units.<\/p>\n<p>This year, coverage is targeted to exceed 83 million recipients,\nsupported by more than 36,600 SPPG units across Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>He said the programme extends beyond nutrition for schoolchildren,\npregnant women, and toddlers, emphasising consistent quality, hygiene,\nand nutritional standards nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>Lampung is seen as having strong potential in culinary, fashion,\ncrafts, and digital content, with cross-sector collaboration key to\nlifting local brands to national and global markets.<\/p>\n<p>The Lampung MASAMO training highlights multi-stakeholder synergy in\nadvancing national priorities while energising local economies tied to\nthe free meal supply chain.<\/p>",
