        "content": "<p>Indonesia\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with PT Pertamina\nInternational Shipping (PIS), has begun discussing the technical aspects\nto enable the two Pertamina tankers, namely Pertamina Pride and\nGamsunoro, to safely cross the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with PT\nPertamina International Shipping (PIS), has started discussions on the\ntechnical release of two Pertamina tankers still detained in the Strait\nof Hormuz, after Indonesia\u2019s negotiation efforts received a positive\nresponse from Iran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPIS, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is currently\ndiscussing the technicalities so that the two ships, namely Pertamina\nPride and Gamsunoro, can safely cross the Strait of Hormuz,\u201d said Acting\nCorporate Secretary of Pertamina International Shipping, Vega Pita, to\nANTARA when contacted in Jakarta on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Pertamina Pride operates to meet national energy needs, while\nGamsunoro serves energy distribution for third parties.<\/p>\n<p>Vega stated that for now, both ships are still in the Arabian\nGulf\/Persian Gulf. Pertamina\u2019s priority is the safety of all crew\nmembers, as well as the security of the ships and their cargoes.<\/p>\n<p>She also expressed appreciation and thanks to the Ministry of Foreign\nAffairs of the Republic of Indonesia for its full support in handling\nthe situation.<\/p>\n<p>Since the closure of the Strait of Hormuz due to the war between the\nUnited States (US)-Israel and Iran, PIS has conducted intensive\ncoordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Additionally, the\nMinistry of Foreign Affairs has actively engaged in diplomatic\ncommunications with relevant authorities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDiplomatic efforts are ongoing to this day,\u201d said Vega.<\/p>\n<p>According to Spokesperson of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign\nAffairs, Vahd Nabyl A. Mulachela, the ministry, along with the\nIndonesian Embassy in Tehran, has been intensively coordinating with all\nrelevant parties in Iran from the outset for the safety of the\ntankers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn its development, there has been a positive response from the\nIranian side,\u201d said Nabyl in response to ANTARA\u2019s questions regarding\nthe progress of negotiations on the Pertamina tankers in Jakarta on\nFriday (27\/3).<\/p>\n<p>Following the positive response conveyed by Tehran, follow-up steps\nhave been taken by relevant parties on technical and operational\naspects, said Nabyl, although no specific time has been given for when\nthe tankers can exit the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>",
