        "content": "<p>The Indonesian government, through the Halal Product Assurance\nOrganising Body (BPJPH), is strengthening bilateral cooperation with\nYemen in the field of halal product assurance.<\/p>\n<p>Head of BPJPH Ahmad Haikal Hasan, in a statement in Jakarta on\nMonday, said that the two countries have discussed improving good\nrelations and strengthening cooperation, particularly regarding the\nmechanism for registering halal certificates for halal products\noriginating from Yemen that will enter the Indonesian market.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis meeting ensures that the strengthening of Indonesia-Yemen\ncooperation becomes increasingly productive with support for effective\nand accountable halal product registration and certification processes\nas a form of commitment to providing legal certainty and protection for\nconsumers,\u201d Haikal stated.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasised that this strengthening of cooperation is in line with\nthe mandate of Law No.\u00a033 of 2014 on Halal Product Assurance, which\nrequires all products circulating in Indonesia to have halal\ncertification.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, further arrangements as stipulated in Government\nRegulation No.\u00a042 of 2024 affirm that foreign products entering,\ncirculating, and traded in Indonesian territory must register their\nhalal certificates through BPJPH.
