The enhanced cooperation was established during Prime Minister Anutin\nCharnvirakul\u2019s state visit to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on\nMonday (3\/8\/2026). Following the state ceremony, Prabowo and\nCharnvirakul witnessed the exchange of several cooperation documents\nbetween Indonesia and Thailand. The exchange of these documents\nrepresents a concrete outcome of PM Charnvirakul\u2019s official visit to\nIndonesia and reaffirms both nations\u2019 commitment to strengthening their\nstrategic partnership across various fields.<\/p>\n
The first document presented before President Prabowo and PM\nCharnvirakul was the Roadmap on Strategic Partnership Between Indonesia\nand Thailand 2026-2030, exchanged by Indonesian Minister of Foreign\nAffairs Sugiono and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign\nAffairs of Thailand Sihasak Phuangketkeow. This document serves as a\njoint guide for both countries in reinforcing their strategic\npartnership over the next five years.<\/p>\n
Subsequently, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of\nBasic and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia and the\nMinistry of Education of the Kingdom of Thailand on Cooperation in the\nField of Education was exchanged by Minister of Basic and Secondary\nEducation Abdul Mu\u2019ti and Minister of Education of Thailand Prasert\nJantararuangtong. This understanding forms the foundation for\ncooperation between the two nations in developing the education sector\nand improving the quality of human resources.<\/p>\n
In a joint press statement, President Prabowo noted that the\nbilateral meeting produced several tangible achievements that will\nstrengthen relations between the two countries in the future. Beyond\ngovernment-to-government cooperation, President Prabowo also welcomed\ncommitments from the private sector that further expand collaboration.\nHe highlighted an MOU between the Tourism Authority of Thailand and\nTransNusa in the field of tourism and connectivity, as well as an MOU\nbetween Bio-Axel and Pro-Konsilium regarding an organic waste processing\nproject.<\/p>\n
President Prabowo expressed his appreciation for PM Charnvirakul\u2019s\nofficial visit and optimism for the increasingly close future\nrelationship between Indonesia and Thailand.<\/p>\n
Regarding regional issues, President Prabowo stated that Indonesia\nand Thailand agreed to encourage ASEAN to play a constructive role in\nsupporting the creation of sustainable peace in Myanmar.
