The pledge was made during a bilateral meeting at the\nPresidential Palace in Jakarta, held as part of the Second Leaders\u2019\nConsultation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEconomic cooperation remains the main pillar of our bilateral\nrelations. We are optimistic that the USD 20 billion trade target by\n2030 can be achieved through the implementation of the strategic\npartnership roadmap,\u201d Prabowo stated after receiving Prime Minister\nCharnvirakul\u2019s state visit at Merdeka Palace on Monday (3\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>During the visit, the two leaders adopted the Indonesia-Thailand\nStrategic Partnership Roadmap 2026-2030 to guide the strengthening of\nbilateral ties across various fields. The roadmap follows up on an\nagreement reached during a meeting on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit\nin Cebu, Philippines, in May, and embodies commitments built through the\nLeaders\u2019 Consultation mechanism since 2025.<\/p>\n<p>In the economic sphere, both nations agreed to expand investment,\nimprove market access, and foster closer partnerships between business\ncommunities. They will also establish a Joint Trade Commission, the\nfirst bilateral mechanism of its kind in Indonesia-Thailand relations,\ntasked with identifying business opportunities and addressing trade\nbarriers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also agreed to enhance cooperation in food security, covering\nagricultural technology, logistics, food processing, and supply chain\nresilience,\u201d Prabowo added.
