        "content": "<p>Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono and South Korean Foreign Minister\nCho Hyun will act as co-chairs in implementing the strengthened\nbilateral relationship, which has been elevated to a Special\nComprehensive Strategic Partnership.<\/p>\n<p>The statement was made by Indonesian Ambassador to South Korea, Cecep\nHerawan, at the \u2018Indonesian Next-Generation Journalist Network\u2019 event\norganised by the Korea Foundation and the Foreign Policy Community of\nIndonesia at the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The plan is for it to be co-chaired by the foreign ministers of\nKorea and Indonesia. Later, each will have derivatives, a sort of task\nforce or something similar, which will oversee all aspects of\ncooperation across all pillars,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Cecep explained that the chairmanship by each foreign\nminister is intended to simplify the cooperation process, particularly\nin the economic field.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018So, going forward, it will be sufficient to communicate between the\ntwo foreign ministers, for example, and then the derivatives will enter\nthe sectors,\u2019 he clarified.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership upgrade was announced during President Prabowo\nSubianto\u2019s state visit to South Korea and his meeting with South Korean\nPresident Lee Jae Myung, strengthening diplomatic relations that have\nbeen established since 1973.<\/p>\n<p>Both heads of state affirmed that the Special Comprehensive Strategic\nPartnership will place greater emphasis on concrete and future-oriented\ncooperation, covering several areas of mutual interest, both existing\nand new, for the benefit of the two countries and the wider region.<\/p>\n<p>In this regard, both are determined to work closely together on the\nfive pillars of cooperation achieved to advance their shared vision of\nrealising a stronger, more beneficial, and innovative partnership,\nthereby improving the welfare and prosperity of the people in both\ncountries.<\/p>\n<p>The five pillars of cooperation include political and security\ncooperation; trade, investment, and industrial cooperation; advanced\ntechnology, energy transition, and green economy cooperation;\nsocio-cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges; and regional\nand global cooperation.<\/p>",
