        "content": "<p>Foreign Ministers from the Republic of Turkey, the Arab Republic of\nEgypt, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Indonesia, the\nIslamic Republic of Pakistan, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi\nArabia, and the United Arab Emirates have condemned the Israeli\noccupation authorities for continuing to close the gates of Al-Aqsa\nMosque, also known as Al-Haram Al-Sharif, to Muslim worshippers,\nparticularly during the holy month of Ramadhan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSecurity restrictions on access to the Old City of Jerusalem and\nplaces of worship within it, coupled with discriminatory and arbitrary\nrestrictions on access to other places of worship in the Old City,\nconstitute a blatant violation of international law,\u201d the ministers\nstated in a joint statement received on Thursday, 12 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque also violates international\nhumanitarian law, the historical and legal status applicable to the\nsite, and the principle of unimpeded access to places of worship.<\/p>\n<p>The ministers emphasised their complete rejection and condemnation of\nsuch illegal and unjustifiable actions, as well as Israel\u2019s continued\nprovocative acts at Al-Aqsa Mosque\/Al-Haram Al-Sharif against\nworshippers.<\/p>\n<p>They stressed that Israel has no sovereignty over occupied Jerusalem\nor over the Islamic and Christian holy sites within the territory.<\/p>",
