        "content": "<p>The Indonesian government and Morocco have discussed accelerating the\nimplementation of cooperation in the field of halal product assurance as\na follow-up to the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) between the two\ncountries signed some time ago. Head of the Halal Product Assurance\nOrganising Body (BPJPH) Ahmad Haikal Hasan stated in Jakarta on Saturday\nthat this step is part of efforts to strengthen bilateral trade, expand\nmarket access for halal products, and support the development of a\nglobal halal ecosystem. \u201cThis cooperation not only strengthens the\nimplementation of halal product assurance in both countries but also\nopens up mutually beneficial multisectoral trade opportunities and\nsupports Indonesia\u2019s trade balance,\u201d he said. He further explained that\nthe acceleration of communication with the Embassy of the Kingdom of\nMorocco is in line with the Indonesian Foreign Minister\u2019s support to\nexpedite the MRA implementation, strengthen multisectoral trade synergy,\nand prepare the next bilateral cooperation agenda. Haikal added that\nMorocco is a strategic partner with high-quality standards. \u201cTherefore,\nthe partnership between the two countries is expected to expand market\naccess for Indonesian products, increase the competitiveness of national\nhalal products, and contribute to the trade balance of both countries,\u201d\nhe said. The strengthening of Indonesia-Morocco halal cooperation will\nalso support the implementation of the Mandatory Halal policy, or halal\ncertification obligation, in Indonesia which will commence on 18 October\n2026. \u201cFurthermore, this simultaneously opens up wider investment and\ntrade opportunities, as well as encourages the development of the halal\nindustry in various sectors,\u201d Haikal said. The follow-up discussion on\nIndonesia-Morocco cooperation in halal product assurance in Jakarta was\nalso attended by Secretary of State to the Minister of Industry and\nTrade of Morocco Omar Hejira, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of\nMorocco to Indonesia Redouane Houssaini. Also present were leaders from\nthe halal body Institut Marocain de Normalisation (IMANOR), Morocco\u2019s\nMinistry of Industry and Trade, the Association Marocaine des\nExportateurs (ASMEX), F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Nationale de l\u2019Agro-Alimentaire\n(FENAGRI), Agence Marocaine de D\u00e9veloppement des Investissements et des\nExportations (AMDIE), Morocco Foodex, and several Moroccan industry\nrepresentatives.<\/p>",
