        "content": "<p>Indonesia and Japan are further strengthening their bilateral\nrelations, not only in the economic, energy, and investment sectors but\nalso through cooperation in forestry and conservation. This cooperation\nwas forged during a meeting between Indonesia\u2019s Minister of Forestry,\nRaja Juli Antoni, and Japan\u2019s Minister of Growth Strategy, Minoru\nKiuchi, on the sidelines of President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s visit to Japan.\nIn the meeting, Minister Kiuchi emphasised that Indonesia is a strategic\npartner for the Japanese government, particularly in the forestry\nsector. He stressed that Indonesia\u2019s role is not only important for\nJapan but also holds a strategic position for the Asia-Pacific region.\nMinister Kiuchi also expressed appreciation for the signing of a\nMemorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Indonesia and Shizuoka\nPrefecture regarding the protection and conservation of wildlife,\nparticularly Komodo dragons. According to him, Komodo dragons have high\npopularity in Japan, comparable to pandas, and are believed to be a\nmajor attraction for Japanese society. The Japanese government even\nplans to hold a special welcoming ceremony when the Komodo dragons\narrive in Japan. Additionally, Minister Kiuchi stated his commitment to\nsupporting the acceleration of animal exchanges from iZoo Japan to\nSurabaya Zoo. Meanwhile, Forestry Minister Raja Juli stated that this\nbilateral meeting is part of the series of state visits by the President\nto Japan, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two\ncountries. Raja Juli also appreciated the long-standing cooperation\nbetween Indonesia and Japan, particularly through various projects\nsupported by JICA. Raja Juli emphasised the importance of increasing\ncollaboration in the future, including through the acceleration of\nimplementing the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) in Indonesia\u2019s forestry\nsector as part of climate change mitigation efforts.
