Indonesia and Japan have announced 10 memorandums of understanding\nand strategic partnership agreements between businesses from both\nnations, valued at US$22.6 billion or approximately Rp 384.2 trillion.\nThe collaborations were announced at the Indonesia-Japan Business Forum\nin Tokyo, Japan, today, witnessed directly by President Prabowo\nSubianto.<\/p>\n

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya explained that at the forum,\nrepresentatives from companies in both countries took turns presenting\nand showcasing the agreed collaborations in front of President\nPrabowo.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis moment serves as a strong symbol of the commitment from\nIndonesian and Japanese businesses to expand concrete collaborations,\nwhile also demonstrating high confidence in Indonesia\u2019s economic\nprospects,\u201d Teddy said, quoted from his statement on Monday, 30 March\n2026.<\/p>\n

He detailed that the announced collaborations cover various sectors,\nincluding the development of clean energy-based downstream projects such\nas methanol production from carbon emissions, exploration and\ndevelopment in the oil and gas sector, geothermal energy development,\nand strengthening inclusive financial ecosystems and strategic\ninvestments.<\/p>\n

  3. Strategic cooperation for the development of the Abadi gas field\nin the Masela Block, Indonesia, between PT Pertamina (Persero) and\nINPEX;<\/p><\/li>\n

  4. MoU for potential partnership opportunities in the upstream oil\nand gas sector in Indonesia and Southeast Asia between PT Pertamina Hulu\nEnergi and INPEX;<\/p><\/li>\n
