        "content": "<p>Indonesia\u2019s Higher Education, Science, and Technology Ministry\nexplores new cooperation potentials with the Islamic Republic of Iran in\nacademic exchange, science park development, and research\ndownstreaming.<\/p>\n<p>During a meeting with Esfandiar Ekhtiyari, Deputy for Policy and\nDevelopment at the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and\nKnowledge-Based Economy, Minister Brian Yuliarto expressed Indonesia\u2019s\nopenness for strategic education cooperation with Iran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are happy to welcome Iranian professors as guest lecturers in\nIndonesian universities to enhance science and technology cooperation\nbetween Iran and Indonesia,\u201d Yuliarto said during the Friday meeting,\naccording to a written statement.<\/p>\n<p>Besides academic exchange, the two parties discussed collaboration\npotentials in the development of science techno parks as an ecosystem to\nsupport research optimisation.<\/p>\n<p>They also explored cooperation in research downstreaming and business\nincubator development in strategic sectors, such as energy and\naerospace.<\/p>\n<p>The cooperation is expected to open greater collaboration, exchange\nof expertise, and joint research opportunities between Indonesian and\nIranian researchers.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Iranian side reaffirmed their readiness to strengthen\nresearch and academic cooperation with Indonesia, especially on the\nscience and technology parks development.<\/p>\n<p>Ekhtiyari said that science techno parks in Iran are managed under\nthe education and health ministries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are ready to transfer our expertise in the field with Indonesia,\u201d\nEkhtiyari stressed.<\/p>\n<p>The two parties expected cooperation in the sectors to be codified in\na memorandum of understanding between higher education ministries in\nIndonesia and Iran.
