        "content": "<p>\u201cIndonesia is ready to expand educational cooperation through student\nexchanges, university partnerships, joint research, and exploring\nopportunities for collaboration in other fields,\u201d President Prabowo\nSubianto said during a joint press statement with President Abdel Fattah\nEl-Sisi at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>He then expressed appreciation for Egypt\u2019s support in providing\nadditional scholarships, particularly in the fields of medicine,\nengineering, and science.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia has also maintained longstanding educational ties with\nEgypt\u2019s Al-Azhar University, where Indonesian language and literature\nare taught.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe aim to improve the education of Indonesian students in Egypt.\nThis way, we are inviting Egyptian educational institutions to visit\nIndonesia and send lecturers and teaching staff,\u201d Prabowo said.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, President El-Sisi said the two leaders had also\ndiscussed cultural and educational cooperation, describing both fields\nas integral to the longstanding ties between the Indonesian and Egyptian\npeoples.<\/p>\n<p>He reaffirmed Egypt\u2019s commitment to strengthening friendship and\nsolidarity between the two nations and fostering greater mutual\nunderstanding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFurthermore, we are ready to welcome thousands of Indonesian\nstudents to study at Al-Azhar and other universities in Egypt,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>President Prabowo received a visit from President El-Sisi at the\nMerdeka Palace in Jakarta on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>El-Sisi\u2019s visit to Indonesia follows Prabowo\u2019s visits to Egypt in\n2024 and 2025.
