A survey by Indikator Politik Indonesia reveals that public satisfaction with the organisation of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr exodus stands at 80.8 percent, reflecting positive evaluations of government services amid the mobility of around 47 million citizens. Among actual travellers, satisfaction is even higher at 85.3 percent, with 81 percent of respondents viewing traffic management as improved compared to the previous year, and 79.8 percent perceiving a decline in traffic accidents. This stable and broadly positive feedback across demographics underscores the effectiveness of multi-sectoral public services in transportation and safety, serving as a key metric for ongoing improvements.

Public satisfaction with the organisation of the 2026 Eid exodus
reached 80.8 percent, according to a survey by Indikator Politik
Indonesia, which reflects a positive evaluation of government services
amid the mobility of around 47 million citizens. Founder and Lead
Researcher of Indikator Politik Indonesia, Burhanuddin Muhtadi, stated
that this assessment comes from all respondents, whether they undertook
the exodus or not. “Overall public satisfaction with the organisation of
the 2026 Eid exodus reached 80.8 percent,” he said in the release of
survey findings titled Public Evaluation of the 2026 Eid Exodus
Organisation, which was attended online in Jakarta on Tuesday. Among
exodus participants, the satisfaction rate was recorded higher at 85.3
percent, combining responses of very satisfied and somewhat satisfied.
“This difference is likely because those who did not travel assessed it
from the media, which tends to highlight negative events such as
congestion,” he said. He added that this achievement is relatively
stable compared to the previous year, which was in the range of 80 to 81
percent. In fact, around 81 percent of respondents rated this year’s
traffic flow management as better than last year. The assessment from
exodus participants was slightly higher, reaching 82.7 percent.
Additionally, perceptions of safety also showed a positive trend. As
many as 79.8 percent of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that the
number of traffic accidents during the exodus period had decreased, both
for minor, moderate, and fatal categories. “All demographic groups,
based on age, gender, education, income, and region, tend to give
positive evaluations,” said Burhanuddin. Interestingly, respondents who
actively access social media showed even higher satisfaction levels,
such as Instagram users reaching 88 percent and WhatsApp around 83
percent. Nevertheless, Burhanuddin emphasised that public evaluation
remains an important instrument for measuring the quality of
cross-sectoral services, including transportation and safety. “For that
reason, we need systematic methods to measure how positively or
negatively the public evaluates those public services,” he said.
",
