Indian drowns in pool<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): An Indian national identified as Ameer Syed
\nAzeezuddin drowned in a swimming pool at the Country Wood Estates
\nresidences in Ciputat, South Jakarta, early on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old man was found dead after he fell into the
\nlarge pool during a weekend party held at the property.<\/p>\n
There were conflicting reports on his death.<\/p>\n
\"I did not see the accident directly. I rushed to the scene
\nafter I heard that the victim drowned in the swimming pool,\"
\nMukesh, who organized the party, said at Cipto Mangunkusumo
\nGeneral Hospital's morgue in Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Ari, a colleague of Ameer, said she heard that Amir was pushed
\ninto the pool by one of his friends.<\/p>\n
\"It was meant as a joke. But, unfortunately, Ameer fell into
\nthe pool,\" said Ari, who worked with Ameer at the Resource Club,
\na garment trading company with headquarters in New York.<\/p>\n
The company has a representative office here, located on Jl.
\nKayu Putih Utara in East Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Mukesh, also a friend of Ameer, dismissed the possibility that
\nAmeer was drunk.<\/p>\n
\"I have experienced a similar accident in Singapore. Ameer
\nmight have suffered a muscle spasm. That's why he couldn't make
\nit up to the surface,\" he told The Jakarta Post.<\/p>\n
Atikarman, an employee of the Resource Club, said Ameer died
\non his way to the nearby Bintaro International Hospital.<\/p>\n
She said it was unclear if he was inebriated.<\/p>\n
\"We brought his body to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for a
\npostmortem examination, but the result will only be released on
\nMonday,\" she said.<\/p>\n
Mukesh said Ameer's body would be flown to Madras, India, for
