        "content": "<p>India-ASEAN car rally to start<\/p>\n<p>The first India-ASEAN car rally will be held to hike public<br>\nawareness of the latest opportunities in trade, tourism,<br>\ninfrastructure development and cultural exchanges, organizers<br>\nsaid on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The non-competitive event starts in Guwahati, India on Nov. 22<br>\nand is scheduled to end in Batam, Indonesia on Dec. 11.<\/p>\n<p>According to Singapore Tourism Board, more than 300<br>\nparticipants in 60 cars will drive through eight of the 10<br>\nAssociation of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries before<br>\narriving in Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>Spearheaded by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the<br>\nConfederation of Indian Industry, the rally is also designed to<br>\npromote the land connectivity of India and the ASEAN countries.<\/p>\n<p>ASEAN groups Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Malaysia, the<br>\nPhilippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar<br>\n(Burma). -DPA<\/p>",
