        "content": "<p>Executive Director of the Institute for Development of Economics and\nFinance (INDEF) Esther Sri Astuti has said that special facilities for\nforeign investors must be provided to attract them to enter and invest\nin the Indonesia International Financial Centre (PFII).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeepening the financial market in Indonesia. Increasing domestic\nliquidity, instrument variety, and strengthening regional\ncompetitiveness against other financial centres,\u201d Esther said when\ncontacted in Jakarta on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, to attract investors the government needs to\nprovide special facilities for them, so that they are interested and\nwilling to invest in the PFII.<\/p>\n<p>She explained that the PFII must be able to compete with other\nlong-established financial centres, and for that the government can\nprovide ease of investment, tax relief, and legal certainty.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSpecial facilities and tax relief are designed to entice foreign\nfunds and investment managers to enter Indonesia,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>She added that Indonesia\u2019s potential must be presented well, so as to\nattract as many investors from abroad as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Esther explained that the green economy, Islamic economy and national\nindustrial transformation can be used as one of the attractions for\ninvestors.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming\/Head of BKPM\nRosan Roeslani said the response of investors and family office managers\nfrom Asia whom his side met regarding the development of the Indonesia\nInternational Financial Centre (PFII) had so far been positive.<\/p>\n<p>He said the meeting with investors and family offices was held in\nNusa Dua, Bali. His side invited 70 parties from Asia, while 110\nattended.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe invited 70 from Asia but 110 came and the response, thank God, I\ncan say was actually very positive,\u201d Rosan said at a press conference on\nthe 2027 State Budget Plan and Financial Note in Jakarta on Friday\n(14\/8).<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, he said the investors and family offices want to see a\nPFII structure and format that conforms to world standards.<\/p>",
