Amin Syam, asked the<br>\ngovernment on Monday to change its contract with PT International<br>\nNickel Indonesia (Inco) to benefit the province more.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a dialog with the Supreme Advisory Board here,<br>\nAmin Syam noted that 80 percent of royalties paid by nickel miner<br>\nInco went to the central government while the provincial<br>\nadministration only received 20 percent.<\/p>\n<p>He said the division should be reversed so that the central<br>\ngovernment took only 20 percent and the local administration got<br>\n80 percent.<\/p>\n<p>If that happened, the South Sulawesi administration would<br>\ncollect Rp 128 billion (14.2 million) per annum from Inco.<\/p>\n<p>Inco president Rumengan Musu, of Torajan descent, said any<br>\nchanges to the contract could not be implemented until the<br>\ncurrent contract expired in 2025.
