        "content": "<p>The Ministry of Social Affairs has confirmed that the public can file\nappeals regarding decile data within the National Single Social and\nEconomic Data (DTSEN). This move responds to complaints from several\ncitizens regarding discrepancies in their decile status.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf there are errors or inaccuracies in targeting, we will rectify\nthem immediately. Our principle is to be very open,\u201d stated the Minister\nof Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf, as reported by CNN Indonesia on\nWednesday (2\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The Social Welfare Data and Information Centre (Pudatin Kesos) stated\nthat there are two ways to submit an appeal: by visiting the local\nvillage government or the social services office, or through the Cek\nBansos application.<\/p>\n<p>If you do not yet have the Cek Bansos application, please download it\nfrom the Play Store first. The following steps are required to submit an\nappeal via Cek Bansos:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Once the download is complete, open the application.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Register your account.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Select the \u2018Usulkan Pembaruan\u2019 (Propose Update) button.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Complete the questions provided within the application.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 After the process is finished, officers will visit your home to\nconduct a direct verification.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, data updates can also be performed by visiting the village\nor sub-district office of your residence. The process remains the same,\ninvolving a direct survey stage.<\/p>\n<p>The collected data will be submitted to the Central Bureau of\nStatistics (BPS). Based on this information, the agency will perform a\nre-ranking of the population.<\/p>\n<p>To check your current decile, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><p>Visit the website cekbansos.kemensos.go.id.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Enter your NIK (National Identity Number) and regional data as\nper your ID card.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Enter the verification code displayed on the screen.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Click \u2018Cari Data\u2019 (Search Data).<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>The system will display identity information, decile group, types\nof social assistance received, and the distribution period.<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The decile classification is intended to enable the government to\ndetermine recipients for various social assistance programmes, ranging\nfrom the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT)\nto the PBI BPJS Health insurance.<\/p>\n<p>The classification uses various factors, such as housing conditions\nand asset ownership. The following is the breakdown of decile\ndistribution in Indonesia:<\/p>\n<p>Decile 1: Extremely poor\/extreme poverty group.<\/p>\n<p>Decile 2: Poor group.<\/p>\n<p>Decile 3: Near-poor group.<\/p>\n<p>Decile 4: Vulnerable to poverty group.<\/p>\n<p>Decile 5: Transitioning towards the middle class.<\/p>\n<p>Deciles 6-10: Middle class to the highest economic group.<\/p>",
