        "content": "<p>President Prabowo Subianto is continuing his efforts to improve the\ngovernance of Hajj administration for the Indonesian people,\nspecifically through financial audits and the eradication of all\nfraudulent practices.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak,\nstated that Prabowo is not only focused on reducing Hajj costs to make\nthem more affordable for the public but also intends to ensure that the\nHajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) manages funds correctly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe President encouraged that a forensic audit be conducted\nimmediately on the financial management of the Hajj funds,\u201d said Dahnil\nfollowing a limited meeting at the State Palace on Monday, 28 September\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>According to Dahnil, a forensic audit is necessary so that the\ngovernment can understand the overall financial condition of the Hajj\nfunds based on facts. The government does not want any financial\nmanipulation or other practices that would cause the management of Hajj\nfunds to fail to reflect the true situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy must a forensic audit be conducted on the management of Hajj\nfinances as per the President\u2019s order? Because the President wants to\nknow the actual facts regarding the true condition of the Hajj\nfinances,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Dahnil noted that the government also wants to ensure that the\nmanagement of Hajj finances during the Prabowo administration operates\ntransparently and accountably. This is considered vital so that the\ngovernment has a factual overview of the financial situation before\ntaking further remedial steps.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must ensure there is no financial engineering or similar\npractices, such as the case currently trending in Malaysia; therefore,\nthe President also wants to know the current condition of the Hajj\nfinances,\u201d said Dahnil.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the government will coordinate with several parties,\nincluding the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), to\nfollow up on the President\u2019s directive regarding the forensic audit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is what we will do; we will speak with all teams, especially\nthe BPKP, regarding the efforts for the forensic audit of Hajj\nfinances,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to improving financial governance, Dahnil mentioned that\nthese directives are part of the government\u2019s agenda to ensure that Hajj\nadministration in Indonesia is conducted transparently and\nwell-managed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is also part of the President\u2019s order to \u2018clean up\u2019 Indonesian\nHajj administration so that it is more blessed, clean, and free from\nHajj and Umrah cartels,\u201d he explained.<\/p>",
