The Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Immigration\nand Corrections (Kemenimipas) will raise the Visa on Arrival (VoA) fee\nfrom the current Rp500,000 to between Rp750,000 and Rp1 million.<\/p>\n
Director General of Immigration Hendarsam Marantoko said the tariff\nadjustment is being made because the current VoA fee is considered too\nlow.<\/p>\n
He explained that under the new scheme, the visa fee will be\ndifferentiated according to where each foreign national submits their\napplication.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs we know, our visa on arrival is only Rp500,000, while our\nexchange rate fluctuates and we feel it is very small, and therefore we\nneed to make adjustments in this regard,\u201d he said at a press conference\nin Jakarta on Wednesday (12\/8).<\/p>\n
Hendarsam said foreign nationals who apply for an e-VoA from their\nhome country will be charged Rp750,000. Meanwhile, foreign nationals who\nonly apply for a VoA after arriving in Indonesia will be charged Rp1\nmillion.<\/p>\n
He said the scheme is expected to encourage foreign nationals to\napply for visas online before arriving in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo the point is, if they fill in the VoA other than online at their\nlocation, they have to pay 1 million, but if they fill it in in their\nown country, they get 750,000,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He added that the tariff difference is not solely about state\nrevenue. Immigration, he said, wants to shift the visa application\nprocess to before departure so that the arrival of foreign nationals at\nairports is smoother and does not cause congestion at service\npoints.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat is the purpose? So that there is no build-up at the airport,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, Hendarsam said that as of 10 August 2026,\nImmigration had generated Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) of Rp6.543\ntrillion. This achievement was said to be up 6.68 percent compared to\nthe same period the previous year, and had reached 76.81 percent of the\n2026 target of Rp8.519 trillion.<\/p>\n
