The running event was a form\nof a state within a state.<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate General of Immigration has taken\naction against two foreign nationals (WNA) alleged to be organisers of\nthe Entourage Run running community in Canggu, Bali, after the event was\nsuspected of being discriminatory towards Indonesian citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Director General of Immigration Hendarsam Marantoko said in Jakarta\non Friday that his office had imposed administrative immigration\nsanctions in the form of a travel ban on the two foreign nationals, who\nhave already left Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere must be no state within a state. The running event was a form\nof a state within a state,\u201d said Hendarsam.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the two foreign nationals subject to the travel ban\nare now outside Indonesian territory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe foreign nationals concerned are now known to be outside\nIndonesian territory, and Immigration has applied a travel ban to them,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have already ordered immigration officials in Bali to examine the\nevent organisers. If any foreign nationals are found, they will be dealt\nwith immediately,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Hendarsam, the event was organised by Entourage Bali,\nwith two Dutch nationals identified as the organisers: JAS (35), holder\nof a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) for employment, and HQV (37), holder of\nan Investor ITAS.<\/p>\n<p>The two are known to have left Indonesia on Wednesday evening (23\/7)\non a KLM flight to Singapore via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International\nAirport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have now placed both of them on the blacklist,\u201d said\nHendarsam.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that the action was taken because the activities were\nsuspected of violating immigration regulations. Under prevailing rules,\nforeign nationals are not permitted to organise activities in Indonesia\nif these do not correspond with the residence permits they hold.<\/p>\n<p>The case came to light after a social media post claimed that the\nEntourage Run running community in Canggu limited participation to\nforeign nationals only.<\/p>\n<p>The post recounted how a 23-year-old Indonesian woman was rejected by\nthe registration system after entering her nationality as an Indonesian\ncitizen.<\/p>\n<p>The case also drew the attention of Ni Luh Putu Ary Pertami\nDjelantik, a member of the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI) from\nBali\u2019s electoral district, who reported it to Bali Immigration, the Bali\nRegional Police, and the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office.<\/p>",
