        "content": "<p>IMF data show Indonesia increases borrowings<\/p>\n<p>WASHINGTON (Reuters): Russia and Brazil made big repayments to<br>\nthe International Monetary Fund in the year to July 31, according<br>\nto IMF figures released on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The figures, published on the IMF's web site,  also show<br>\nIndonesia increased its borrowings from IMF to US$10.49 billion<br>\nas of July from $9.34 billion a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>The data also indicate that  Russia repaid US$3.62 billion in<br>\nthe year to July, bringing its debts to the IMF down to $12.66<br>\nbillion. Russia, the IMF's largest single borrower, repaid $237<br>\nmillion in June.<\/p>\n<p>The IMF figures showed Brazil, which made a big repayment to<br>\nthe IMF in April, repaid a net $7.46 billion in the year to July.<br>\nBrazil made no repayments in July and owed the IMF $1.78 billion<br>\nat the end of the month.<\/p>\n<p>The IMF released its figures in Special Drawing Rights, the<br>\nbasket of currencies it uses for accounting. The following table<br>\ngives the sum each country owes the IMF in millions of dollars at<br>\ncurrent exchange rates of $1.310 per SDR.<\/p>\n<p>A negative figure means that the country has reduced its debt<br>\nto the IMF over the year to July 31.
