The Head of the\nBadung Transportation Agency (Dishub), Anak Agung Gde Rahmadi, stated on\nMonday (10\/8\/2026) that while officers persistently advise the truck\ndrivers, some still violate the rules. Over the past week, officers have\nprioritised a persuasive approach by directly reprimanding the drivers,\nyet some remain defiant and ignore the no-parking signs. Rahmadi urged\nthe public to report violations and to help remind drivers who continue\nto park there.<\/p>\n<p>Dishub Badung is now preparing stricter measures by involving the\npolice. Rahmadi confirmed that ticketing sanctions will be imposed on\nstubborn drivers to create a deterrent effect. He stated that if\nwarnings continue to be ignored, firm action in the form of traffic\ntickets will be taken. Truck drivers have been asked to be more\ndisciplined and comply with regulations to ensure smooth traffic flow\naround the Mengwi Terminal area, and to stop using the road shoulder as\nan illegal parking area.<\/p>\n<p>A previous enforcement operation was conducted along the road on\nWednesday (5\/8) morning, during which more than 30 trucks fled upon the\narrival of a joint team comprising the Transportation Agency, Badung\nPolice Traffic Unit, Civil Service Police Unit, Bali Class II Land\nTransportation Management Centre (BPTD), military personnel, and\ntraditional village authorities. The illegal parking frequently causes\ntraffic jams and has drawn complaints from residents for creating a\nslum-like environment.
