Illegal jeans factory raided<\/p>\n
BOGOR: An illegal jeans factory, owned by Abdul Halim, in
\nTanah Bari village, Bogor, West Java, was raided by the Bogor
\nDistrict Police after being suspected of making imitations of
\ndesigner label Lea jeans.<\/p>\n
Police managed to confiscate some 1,230 fake jeans and 16
\nsewing machines from the factory.<\/p>\n
Deputy of the police detectives division, First Insp. Djajang
\nNurjaman, said on Friday that police raided the factory after
\nreceiving a report from Binsar Limbong of the Lea office.<\/p>\n
Prior to the report, Binsar had made an investigation to
\nconfirm the production of the fake jeans, which can be easily be
\ndifferentiated from the original Lea jeans.<\/p>\n
The original has a LEA 45 mark on the zipper, a leather label
\non the back of the trousers, and an unfaded orange label attached
\nto the inner fold.<\/p>\n
Official said that the production of fake jeans had been
\nrunning for three months, involving 14 employees. --JP<\/p>",
