        "content": "<p>The Satgas Operasi Damai Cartenz 2026 has dismantled an illegal\nammunition supply network to the armed criminal group (KKB) in the Papua\nregion. Four suspects were arrested during a two-day operation in\nJayapura, Papua.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have again uncovered an illegal ammunition distribution network\nsuspected to be linked to armed groups in Papua,\u201d said Deputy Head of\nthe Public Relations Task Force for Operasi Damai Cartenz 2026, AKBP\nAndria, as reported by detikSulsel on Saturday (28\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The four individuals arrested during the operation in Jayapura on\nWednesday-Thursday (25-26\/3) are initialled KO (45), SMM (40), HM (53),\nand AKW (51). All four have been designated as suspects and held\ndifferent roles within the network.<\/p>\n<p>The arrests in this case are part of the development of\ninvestigations from a previous case also related to the weapons and\nammunition distribution network in several areas of Papua. The\nauthorities also seized several pieces of evidence, including\ncommunication devices, vehicles, and homemade firearms suspected to have\nbeen used in the illegal activities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom initial examinations, three suspects\u2014KO, SMM, and AKW\u2014are\nsuspected of acting as intermediaries or facilitators in illegal\nammunition transactions. Meanwhile, suspect HM is suspected of acting as\nthe supplier or seller of ammunition,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects are charged under the provisions of Criminal Code Law\nNumber 1 of 2023, specifically Article 306 in conjunction with Article\n20, which regulates illegal possession of weapons and assistance in\ncriminal acts.<\/p>",
