Ikopin must serve as a\nprovider of cadres ready to meet these needs.<\/p>\n<pre><code>he Cooperative Education Foundation (YPK) is encouraging the Indonesian Cooperative University (Ikoplar) to increase direct practical training to prepare the human resources required for the development of the Merah Putih Village\/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP).<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>The Chairman of the YPK Board of Trustees, Emil Arifin, stated in a\npress release from the Ministry of Cooperatives in Jakarta on Wednesday,\nthat the need for human resources capable of managing cooperatives is\ngrowing alongside the expansion of KDKMP across various regions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis opportunity must be filled. The demand for manpower in rural\nareas alongside the development of KDKMP is very large. Ikopin must be\nthe provider of cadres ready to answer that need,\u201d said Emil during the\nIkopin Performance Evaluation Coordination Meeting in Jatinangor, West\nJava, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the improvement of Ikopin needs to be directed so\nthat the educational process does not stop at theoretical mastery, but\nalso provides practical experience that aligns with the needs of\ncooperatives and local communities.<\/p>\n<p>Emil stated that Ikopin also needs to develop research and technology\nthat can be directly applied to address needs at the village level.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIkopin must be an institution that produces superior seeds\u2014seeds of\nhuman resources\u2014and conducts research to develop technology that can be\nimmediately implemented in the regions,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>He cited the development of economic activities such as food crop\ncultivation, poultry farming, and value-added commodities like\nsilkworms, which can be developed by adjusting to the specific needs and\npotential of each village.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono stated that the\ntransformation of Ikopin must be capable of producing modern,\nprofessional, and independent cooperative cadres that are relevant to\ncurrent cooperative needs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIkopin is also expected to produce research and innovation that\naddresses the real needs of cooperatives, including in the development\nof the Merah Putih Village\/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP),\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>Ferry mentioned several aspects that need improvement, including\noperational efficiency, study programmes, increasing the quality and\nquantity of students, diversifying revenue sources, and utilising\ninformation technology.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the Vice Chairman of the YPK Board of Trustees,\nBurhanuddin Abdullah, emphasised that the reform of Ikopin cannot be\nachieved through administrative improvements or cost efficiency alone,\nbut must encompass organisation, governance, human resources, work\nsystems, marketing, and institutional modernisation.<\/p>",
