        "content": "<p>Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, has spoken out regarding the\nproposal to relocate the Jakarta Institute of the Arts (IKJ) campus. He\nemphasised that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will not move the\ncampus to the historic Old Town area in North Jakarta, but will instead\nfacilitate spaces for expression for students and artists at the\ncapital\u2019s heritage site. \u201cSo I want to clarify, IKJ or the artists will\nbe given the widest possible space to express themselves in Old Town.\nThat there will be a building we prepare for IKJ, yes,\u201d Pramono stated\nat the DKI Jakarta City Hall in Central Jakarta on Thursday (9\/4).\nPramono said the Provincial Government (Pemprov) DKI is preparing\nspecial facilities to support various artistic activities in the tourist\ndestination. Although there will be a building dedicated specifically to\nartistic activities, Pramono denied that all IKJ teaching and learning\nactivities would be relocated. The decision to cancel the full campus\nrelocation was made after his team conducted a more in-depth study. \u201cBut\nafter we reviewed it, we will not relocate IKJ, no,\u201d he asserted.\nAccording to Pramono, forcing a full campus relocation would risk\nshifting the main focus from the area\u2019s own revitalisation. \u201cBecause\nrelocating IKJ would then miss the main goal for Old Town as a tourist\ndestination, nurturing culture. Old Town is actually like the Amsterdam\nof the Netherlands, of the same type,\u201d Pramono said.
