        "content": "<p>Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG)\nopened higher by 0.60% to the level of 7,099 in trading today, Wednesday\n(6\/5\/2026). A total of 298 stocks advanced, 494 stocks were unchanged,\nand only 172 stocks declined. The transaction value was recorded at\nRp1.23 trillion, with a trading volume of 2.01 billion shares across\n154,800 transactions. The IHSG rose in line with the Central Statistics\nAgency (BPS) reporting Indonesia\u2019s economic growth for the first quarter\nof 2026 at 5.61% year-on-year (yoy). This growth rate is higher than the\n5.39% in the fourth quarter of 2025 and the same period the previous\nyear, or the first quarter of 2025, at 4.87% yoy. Turning to the foreign\nexchange market, the rupiah closed at its all-time weakest level against\nthe US dollar on Tuesday\u2019s trading (5\/5\/2026). This pressure occurred\nalongside the announcement of Indonesia\u2019s first-quarter 2026 economic\ngrowth data.
