        "content": "<p>Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia \u2014 The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) ended\nMonday\u2019s (7\/9\/2026) trading session in the red. The IHSG closed 16.81\npoints, or 0.25%, lower at 6,619.67.<\/p>\n<p>According to Indonesia Stock Exchange data, the IHSG opened at\n6,652.09. During the session, the index touched an intraday high of\n6,667.75 before correcting to a low of 6,610.93.<\/p>\n<p>Trading activity was fairly brisk. Transaction volume reached 35.51\nbillion shares, with a transaction value of Rp13.67 trillion across 2.12\nmillion trades.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 300 stocks advanced, 348 declined, whilst 315 others were\nunchanged.<\/p>\n<p>Pressure on the IHSG came mainly from large-capitalisation stocks,\nparticularly the financial sector.<\/p>\n<p>Bank Central Asia (BBCA) was the biggest drag on the index,\ncontributing 9.39 points to the decline. It was followed by Bank Rakyat\nIndonesia (BBRI), which weighed on the index by 7.76 points, and Bank\nMandiri (BMRI) by 3.47 points.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond banking, shares in Merdeka Gold Resources (EMAS) exerted\npressure of 2.23 points, Maha Properti Indonesia (MPRO) 1.44 points, and\nBank Negara Indonesia (BBNI) 1.40 points.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, a number of stocks managed to cushion the IHSG\u2019s\ndecline. Bumi Resources (BUMI) was the biggest support, contributing\n5.47 points of gains, followed by Bayan Resources (BYAN) with 3.03\npoints and United Tractors (UNTR) with 1.81 points.<\/p>\n<p>Adaro Andalan Indonesia (AADI) then supported the index by 1.74\npoints, and Indah Kiat Pulp &amp; Paper (INKP) by 1.61 points.<\/p>\n<p>By sector, healthcare posted the strongest gain at 1.17%. The energy\nsector rose 0.54%, industrials 0.20%, technology 0.03%, non-primary\nconsumer goods 0.03%, and primary consumer goods 0.02%.<\/p>\n<p>The property sector recorded the deepest decline, at 0.92%. The\nfinancial sector followed with a fall of 0.89%, utilities 0.59%, and\nbasic materials 0.26%.<\/p>\n<p>The healthcare sector\u2019s strength was in line with a surge in a number\nof healthcare issuers\u2019 shares during the day. Sentiment related to the\neruption of Mount Anak Krakatau also drew market attention to stocks\nwith exposure to health products and masks.<\/p>\n<p>Foreign buy was recorded at Rp1.84 trillion in the first session,\nwhilst foreign sell reached Rp2.26 trillion. Foreign investors therefore\nbooked a net foreign sell of Rp424.06 billion by the end of the first\nsession.<\/p>\n<p>Amid the selling, a number of stocks remained targets of foreign\ninvestor accumulation. PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) recorded the largest\nnet foreign buy, reaching Rp218.87 billion, on a volume of approximately\n998.13 million shares.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the largest foreign selling pressure fell on PT Chandra\nAsri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), with a net foreign sell of Rp81.67 billion. It\nwas followed by BBCA with a net foreign sell of Rp73.14 billion, CUAN\nRp66.06 billion, BBRI Rp65.58 billion, and KLBF Rp60.01 billion.<\/p>",
