The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has warned that\nit will attack new targets and deploy new weapons if the United States\n(US) launches another attack against Tehran.<\/p>\n
As the conflict has persisted for almost seven months, Tehran and\nWashington remain in a deadlock, despite both nations appearing to avoid\na return to full-scale war.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf new aggression occurs, we will certainly change our weaponry and\nthe scope of the war zone,\u201d said IRGC spokesperson Hossein Mohebbi in a\nstatement, as reported by AFP and Reuters on Monday (21\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n
Mohebbi added that IRGC forces are prepared for a \u201cprotracted war.\u201d\nHe also stated that there \u201cwill certainly be significant changes in our\ndefence and retaliation\u201d if a new attack from the US takes place.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will introduce new weapons with new capabilities to the\nbattlefield, and the world will be surprised,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur targets will also not necessarily be the same as before. We have\nnew targets that have never been attacked,\u201d Mohebbi said in his\nstatement.<\/p>\n
Iran Warns of Continuous Retaliation if US Continues\nAttacks<\/strong><\/p>\n Mohebbi\u2019s statement follows reports from the Khatam al-Anbiya Central\nHeadquarters, Iran\u2019s unified military command centre, which claimed to\nhave received information indicating that the US has decided to resume\nattacks against Iran.<\/p>\n \u201cBased on information received, the criminal America has once again\ndecided to proceed with measures against Iran, with a green light from\nseveral regional countries, during a joint meeting in a European\nnation,\u201d the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters stated in a broadcast\non the state-owned IRIB television.<\/p>\n Iran emphasised that any US attack would trigger sustained\nretaliation against Washington\u2019s bases and interests in the Middle\nEast.<\/p>\n \u201cEvery US attack will be met with continuous attacks on US bases and\ninterests,\u201d warned the Iranian Armed Forces.<\/p>\n The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters also warned that regional\nnations would be considered \u201cinvolved\u201d if they \u201cside with the\naggression\u201d of the US.<\/p>\n \u201cWe warn that if the countries in this region\u2014by continuing to\nimplement two-faced policies towards the Islamic Republic of Iran\u2014side\nwith the aggression of the \u2018Great Satan\u2019 against a strong and sovereign\nIran, then they will all be considered involved in this crime and can no\nlonger expect restraint or politeness from the formidable Iranian Armed\nForces,\u201d the headquarters asserted.<\/p>",
