        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX) has revealed a\nfragile picture of listed companies\u2019 compliance at the start of 2026. In\nthe first three months of this year, the authority imposed 845 sanctions\non 494 listed companies.<\/p>\n<p>IDX Corporate Secretary, Aulia Noviana Utami, noted that the most\nstriking increase came from sanctions for miscellaneous obligations,\nwhich surged by 50 per cent, both in terms of the number of sanctions\nand the number of affected listed companies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSanctions for miscellaneous obligations increased by 50 per cent,\nboth in terms of the number of sanctions and the number of listed\ncompanies,\u201d Aulia stated in a press release, quoted on Sunday\n(26\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>This category includes obligations related to fulfilling free float\nrequirements or the number of shares circulating in the public,\nsubmission of funding readiness reports for bond and\/or sukuk\nmaturities, mining companies\u2019 exploration activity reports, and errors\nin presenting information to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Annual listing fee sanctions decreased by 5 per cent year-on-year to\n130 from 137. However, the number of listed companies affected rose by 6\nper cent year-on-year from 77 to 82.<\/p>\n<p>Sanctions related to monthly securities registration reports also\nfell by 10 per cent year-on-year to 577 cases. The number of issuers\nsanctioned similarly declined by 10 per cent to 62 issuers.<\/p>\n<p>For public exposure obligations, the number of imposed sanctions\nincreased by 14 per cent year-on-year to 14 per cent, with the number of\naffected issuers reaching 70, a 8 per cent year-on-year jump.<\/p>\n<p>Aulia assured that IDX is not solely focused on enforcement but is\nalso strengthening guidance to enhance the quality of listed companies\nin the domestic capital market.<\/p>\n<p>As of April 2026, IDX has implemented various guidance programmes,\nranging from routine socialisation of capital market regulations,\ntraining on the use of the electronic reporting system SPE-IDXNet, to\nthe implementation of XBRL-based financial reporting.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, IDX provides special education for new issuers and\ncompanies that have not yet met free float requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Other programmes include compliance refreshment activities, as well\nas facilitation of one-on-one meetings, seminars, workshops, and\nroadshows to boost issuers\u2019 capacity and exposure in the market.<\/p>",
