Idul Fitri menus on offer<\/p>\n
YOGYAKARTA: Restaurants in the ancient city of Yogyakarta will
\nopen for businesses as usual during Idul Fitri, or Lebaran as it
\nis popularly called, on Nov. 25 and Nov. 26.<\/p>\n
Mlangi Resto on Jl. Ring Road Barat, Nogotirto, for example,
\nwill be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Nov. 25,
\noffering a Lebaran set menu consisting of Lontong Opor Ayam
\n(compressed rice cakes served with chicken curry) with Sambal
\nGoreng Ati (spicy sweet sauteed chicken liver), Telur Pindang
\n(seasoned boiled egg) and prawn crackers.<\/p>\n
\"We will also introduce some new dishes during the
\ncelebration,\" said Mlangi Resto marketing executive Dian Eka P.,
\nadding that the Lebaran set menu is priced from Rp 29,900 ++ per
\nperson, while the new dishes are priced from Rp 15,900 ++ each.
\n The new dishes will include Sop Buntut Daun Kedondong (oxtail
\nsoup cooked with kedondong leaves), Soto Mie (noodle soup) a la
\nSolo, Lodeh Rebung (mixed bamboo shoot soup with coconut milk)
\nand Melon Sago.<\/p>\n
Five-star hotels are also promoting Lebaran menus. At the
\nKemangi Bistro and Poolside restaurants of Yogyakarta Hyatt
\nRegency, for example, a Gema Takbir Buffet Dinner will be
\navailable on the eve of Idul Fitri for Rp 129,000++ per person.
\nOn Nov. 25 and 26, Kemangi Bistro will provide a Ketupat Buffet
\nBrunch for Rp 99,000 per person from 11.30 a.m. In the evening,
\nguests may enjoy the Saman and Lilin dance performance while they
\nselect their meals from the Lebaran Buffet Dinner at Rp 139,000++
\nper person.<\/p>\n
Among the buffet dishes are Kambing Guling (grilled lamb
\nserved with soy and peanut sauce), Sayur Labu Siam (chayotes
\nstew), Nasi Goreng Kare (fried rice with curry sauce), and
\nvarious traditional snacks and cakes.<\/p>\n
Similarly, El Patio Coffee Shop of Yogyakarta Melia Purosani
\non Jl. Suryotomo is promoting their Ketupat Lebaran Buffet Dinner
\nfor Rp 90,000 net per adult, or Rp 50,000 net per child. The
\nbuffet will be available on Idul Fitri day from 6.30 p.m. to 10
\np.m. Ketupat is a traditional way of cooking rice wrapped in
