        "content": "<p>ICI buys Vietnam firm<\/p>\n<p>LONDON (Reuter): Britain&apos;s Imperial Chemical Industries Plc<br>\nsaid yesterday it will buy a 70 percent stake in a Vietnamese<br>\npaints manufacturer, Vina Paint.<\/p>\n<p>The company, Vina Paint, has been operating since November<br>\n1992 and will be renamed ICI paints (Vietnam) Ltd.<\/p>\n<p>ICI said in a statement that the value of the purchase is less<br>\nthan one percent of ICI group net assets.<\/p>\n<p>The paints market in Vietnam is small, but growing at 10<br>\npercent a year. The factory can produce around five million<br>\nliters annually and employs 60 staff.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;This value creating acquisition marks yet another milestone<br>\nin the development of the strategy for ICI paints,&quot; said Chew<br>\nGaik Hean, chief executive of ICI Paints Asia.<\/p>",
