IBF chief in RI for two bouts<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): International Boxing Federation chairman Robert
\nLee is currently in Surabaya, East Java to watch two IBF
\nIntercontinental bouts.<\/p>\n
Andrian Kaspari of Indonesia, the title holder of the IBF
\nContinental bantamweight division, will fight Sairung Suwanggasin
\nof Thailand in Surabaya tonight while Anis Roga will defend his
\njunior featherweight title against Chaider Jaroen, also of
\nThailand, in Probolinggo tomorrow.<\/p>\n
\"Lee will observe directly the performances of Andrian and
\nAnis in an effort to promote the two boxers to the senior IBF
\nlevel, \" said Herry Sugiarto, promoter of the two title fights.<\/p>\n
Lee arrived in Surabaya Thursday and told reporters that he
\nwas impressed by Andrian and Anis' performances during training
\nsessions, Antara reported yesterday.<\/p>\n
Lee said for Andrian and Anis to challenge senior boxers, they
\nmust be near the top of the list of challengers to the title
\nholders.<\/p>\n
\"Andrian is ranked second in the list of challengers in the
\nIBF bantamweight division. He cannot fight holder Mbolule Bottile
\nof South Africa however, as Bottile has to carry out a mandatory
\nfight against top challenger Tim Austin of the United States in
\nJanuary or March next year,\" Lee said.<\/p>\n
\"If Bottile wins over Austin, Andrian may possibly move into
\nthe top challenger spot and face Bottile. But if Austin wins, he
\nwill choose his own challenger before fighting the top
\nchallenger.\"<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Andrian refused to say whether he could beat
\nSairung.<\/p>\n
\"I don't want to make any promise that I will win by a
\nknockout or on points but I will do my best to defend the title,\"
\nAndrian said.<\/p>\n
Andrian, who has a record of 10 knockouts in his previous
\nbouts, said he knows Sairung fighting style after watching a
\nnumber of videos. \"I am fit to challenge Sairung.\"<\/p>\n
Sairung conversely showed confidence that he will beat Andrian
\nas he has prepared well for the coming match.<\/p>\n
\"I do not know much about Andrian and I will try to take the
