Ngawi, VIVA \u2013 The Deputy Speaker of the MPR RI, Edhie Baskoro\nYudhoyono (Ibas), stated that public understanding regarding health and\nhealth insurance programmes needs to be continuously strengthened.\nHealth protection is not only vital when an individual falls ill but\nalso serves as a component of efforts to maintain productivity and the\nsustainability of family life.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf our bodies are healthy, we can work. If we can work, businesses\ncan grow. If businesses grow, our families will become more prosperous,\u201d\nIbas said in a written statement on Saturday, 19 September 2026.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe should not wait until we are sick to care about our health.\nHealth is not a final cost for us. Health is the primary investment for\nhuman beings,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
Ibas also highlighted the importance of strengthening public health\nin tandem with economic activities. MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium\nEnterprises) are expected to continue developing as pillars of the local\neconomy and, in time, contribute to strengthening the national\neconomy.<\/p>\n
Development, according to him, must be felt in the daily lives of the\ncommunity, ranging from rice fields, small shops, workplaces, and homes,\nto various economic activities at the local level.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe hope is simple. For us as representatives of the people, our\ncommunity becomes healthier, our community becomes more productive, and\nour MSMEs will continue to grow as pillars of the local economy and\neventually become strengtheners of the national economy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
During the occasion, various ongoing efforts to support the community\nwere also mentioned, including the provision of agricultural tools and\nmachinery, irrigation support, programmes for renovating uninhabitable\nhouses, the renovation of places of worship through social programmes,\nand clean water assistance.<\/p>\n
All these efforts are expected to run alongside the improvement of\npublic health quality. This is because regional development requires not\nonly infrastructure and economic support but also healthy and productive\nhuman resources.<\/p>\n
The Deputy Chairperson of the Democratic Party urged the people of\nNgawi to maintain their health, utilise BPJS Kesehatan programmes and\nfacilities effectively, and foster a spirit of togetherness to drive\nregional progress.<\/p>\n
