        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Secretary General of the Indonesian Petroleum\nEngineers Association (IATMI) Hadi Ismoyo has proposed using floating\nbarges as emergency ports to facilitate the mobility of energy\ndistribution and aid in areas affected by the earthquake in East Nusa\nTenggara (NTT).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSignificant damage to a number of ports and bridges has the\npotential to hamper mobility and energy distribution to affected areas.\nThe solution is to use floating barges to serve as emergency ports,\u201d\nHadi said in a statement received in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Hadi added that the distribution of fuel to public filling stations\nand LPG to its depots could be carried out using drones.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTechnology like this is already widely used in China for disaster\nmitigation,\u201d Hadi said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPertamina is the only state-owned enterprise entrusted with\ndistributing fuel and LPG as part of Pertamina\u2019s public obligations to\nthe people. During this independence commemoration period, they must not\nbe left without access to energy, no matter the cost that Pertamina must\nbear. That is what independence means for ordinary people,\u201d Hadi\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Pertamina Vice President of Corporate Communication\nMuhammad Baron said Pertamina continues to ensure energy distribution\nremains operational despite a number of areas facing transport access\nconstraints due to the earthquake.<\/p>\n<p>Pertamina has prepared alternative distribution routes and is\ncoordinating with the government and various parties to maintain supply\nsmoothness.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to maintaining the availability of fuel and LPG, the\nPertamina Group is also distributing humanitarian aid.<\/p>\n<p>The assistance includes ready-to-eat meals, mineral water, biscuits\nand instant milk. Support also covers health and hygiene supplies,\nportable toilets, and 3,000-watt generators to help meet the basic needs\nof communities in affected locations.<\/p>",
