Hyundai Motor Co.\u00a0plans to prepare more than 100 new car models and\nupdated vehicle models until 2030 in an effort to strengthen the\ncompany\u2019s position in the global automotive market.<\/p>\n
According to Yonhap news, Hyundai Motor CEO Jose Munoz stated during\nthe CEO Investor Day in Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday (26\/8), that\nthis plan is part of the company\u2019s efforts to enhance\ncompetitiveness.<\/p>\n
Of the more than 100 car models planned for introduction by the South\nKorean vehicle manufacturer by 2030, 18 will be entirely new models.<\/p>\n
The company plans to launch the Genesis GV80 hybrid in South Korea\nand the United States at the end of 2026 and release an extended-range\nelectric vehicle (EREV) in the first half of 2027.<\/p>\n
The Tucson SUV, one of Hyundai Motor\u2019s best-selling models, along\nwith its hybrid variant, is scheduled to launch in the second half of\n2026.<\/p>\n
The company\u2019s targets include increasing vehicle production by\n500,000 units in North America, 320,000 units in India, 200,000 units in\nSouth Korea, and 250,000 units through completely knocked-down (CKD)\nproduction.<\/p>\n
