        "content": "<p>Jakarta, KOMPAS.com \u2014 Andrie Yunus, Vice Coordinator of the\nCommission for the Disappeared and Victims of Violence (Kontras), was\nattacked with corrosive acid by unknown individuals on Thursday, 12\nMarch 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Two individuals carried out the physical assault, though police have\nsince determined that more than two perpetrators were involved in\ncoordinating the attack.<\/p>\n<p>Yunus was attacked with coordinated precision by four individuals\nidentified through CCTV camera footage captured at multiple locations\nacross the city.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost of the CCTV installations across the Jakarta area have\nsufficiently high resolution, which has allowed us to obtain clear\nimages at several locations,\u201d said Kombes Pol Iman Imanudin, Director of\nGeneral Criminal Investigation for the Metro Jaya Regional Police\nCommand, in remarks to journalists on Monday, 16 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to CCTV footage, police have also obtained communications\nnetworks related to the corrosive acid attack.<\/p>\n<p>Through Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri,\nthe police will conduct confirmation of developments in the\ninvestigation in the near term.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will provide updates on the progress of this investigation at\nregular intervals over the next one to two days,\u201d said Asep.<\/p>",
