The HRD of PT Blueray Cargo, Viny Liverie Lie, has revealed a routine
practice of giving money to officials at the Directorate General of
Customs and Excise (DJBC). During a hearing at the Central Jakarta
Corruption Court on Tuesday (14/7), Viny admitted to preparing 13
envelopes of cash each month on the orders of her superior, John
Field.

The testimony was given as Viny appeared as a witness in a case of
alleged bribery and gratuity involving three DJBC officials. The KPK
public prosecutor questioned Viny about her role in managing funds
referred to as ‘monthly money’ for customs officials during the period
from July 2025 to January 2026.

‘So every month, 13 envelopes were prepared?’ the prosecutor asked
during the trial. Viny confirmed this and explained that the entire list
of recipients and the amounts were determined directly by John Field,
the head of the Blueray Cargo Group.

In court, the prosecutor presented evidence in the form of an Excel
spreadsheet prepared by the witness. The table contained special codes
for the recipients, such as ‘BC1’ with a nominal value of Rp3 billion,
‘BC2’ at Rp2 billion, and ‘BC3’ worth Rp1 billion. In addition to these
codes, the company also used the terms ‘Sales-02’ and ‘Biru’ to refer to
customs officials.

Viny also detailed the mechanism for handing over the money. Before
it was given to the recipients, the cash in Rupiah was first exchanged
into Singapore dollars. This was allegedly done to facilitate the
handover process and to disguise the transactions.

The case implicates three senior officials from the Directorate of
Enforcement and Investigation of Customs and Excise, namely Rizal
(Director), Sisprian Subiaksono (Head of Intelligence Sub-Directorate),
and Orlando Hamonangan (Head of Customs Intelligence Section I). They
are charged with accepting bribes and gratuities totalling Rp78.8
billion. The indictment details that the total receipts consisted of
Rp61.7 billion in cash, Rp1.8 billion in entertainment facilities and
luxury goods, and additional gratuities of approximately Rp15.2 billion.
The trial will continue to investigate the involvement of other parties
in this bribery network.
",
