However, behind its growing popularity, concerns\nabout battery performance decline remain a focus for many prospective\nconsumers.<\/p>\n<p>EVSafe founder Mahaendra Gofar explains that battery degradation in\nelectric vehicles occurs gradually and is generally within normal\nlimits. According to him, the average decline in EV battery capacity is\nonly around 1-2% per year.<\/p>\n<p>He states that electric vehicle batteries actually consist of\nhundreds to thousands of small cells that work together to store energy.\nThe number of cells varies depending on the battery type and the\nvehicle\u2019s capacity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe number of cells in one battery pack can be very large. Some have\nhundreds, others up to thousands of cells, depending on the design and\nbattery type,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Gofar explains that not all cells in the battery pack experience\nperformance decline at the same time.
