The head of Bina Insan Mulia Islamic Boarding School, KH Imam Jazuli,
is conducting phased workshops for Islamic boarding school leaders
across Indonesia. The workshops aim to accelerate transformation and
innovation within the institutions. He stated that the workshops for
boarding school leaders were initially launched in 2025 on a national
scale. ‘Many previous workshop participants have approached me to
highlight the significant impact of these activities on transforming
boarding schools. Therefore, this year’s workshops have been designed to
be more systematic, detailed, and grounded. They will also include
ongoing mentorship to enhance their effectiveness,’ KH Imam Jazuli
stated on Monday, 25 May 2026. The initiative aims to enhance the
quality of education in boarding schools while boosting the number of
students enrolled at each institution. ‘When boarding schools produce
students who succeed both in this world and the hereafter, public
confidence will strengthen,’ he added. To reach boarding school leaders
in all 34 provinces, organisers aim to hold weekly workshops, concluding
by December 2026. ‘Boarding schools must learn from the collapse of
global corporations that failed to respond swiftly to change.
Organisational failure stems not from change itself, but from strategic
missteps in adapting to it,’ he said. For Java Island, participant
targets are estimated at 400 per province, totalling 2,000. West Java’s
workshops for 400 leaders will conclude by early June 2026, followed by
sessions for 1,600 leaders from Central Java, East Java, Jakarta, and
Banten between June and August 2026. Outside Java, each province is
expected to host 100-150 participants, totalling approximately 3,000.
Overall, the workshops aim to reach 5,000 boarding school leaders
nationwide. All activities are fully sponsored by Bina Insan Mulia
Islamic Boarding School and the Imam Jazuli Foundation. Participants
receive transportation, accommodation, certificates, and guidebooks.
They also have the chance to win prizes including stays at Aston Hotel,
pilgrimages to Walisongo sites, and international trips. This year’s
initiative began with leaders from Cirebon’s Region III, covering
Cirebon, Kuningan, Majalengka, and Indramayu. The workshops are
specifically designed for boarding schools with 100 to 1,000 students.
After committee selection, 108 participants were chosen from Region
III.
",
