The training is intended to equip them
to re-enter the workforce or start their own businesses.

Indramayu Police Chief AKBP Prianggo PM said that losing a job was a
difficult challenge for individuals and their families. However, he
hoped the situation would not dampen workers’ determination to get back
on their feet and plan for the future.

“Layoffs can be an opportunity to improve abilities, learn new skills
and explore possibilities that have not been tried before,” Prianggo
said when opening the vocational training at the Atmaniwedhana Hall of
Indramayu Police on Monday (26 October 2026).

At the event, the police chief also signed a cooperation agreement
with the Indramayu Regency Manpower Office. The agreement reflects a
shared commitment to improving skills and expanding employment
opportunities for the community.

Prianggo said vocational training was more than an exercise in
teaching technical skills. It was an investment in human resources,
enabling people to develop the competence, productivity and
competitiveness needed by the labour market.

“I urge all participants to take part in the training with
discipline, dedication and enthusiasm,” Prianggo said.

The training areas set out in the programme include espresso-making
and latte art, sewing with a single-needle machine, basic digital
marketing, and refrigerant handling or air-conditioning technician
skills.

These four fields were selected to improve participants’ abilities
and prepare them better for the needs of businesses and industry.
",
