        "content": "<p>Police have revealed the method used by a man named Mahfud alias MP\n(39), the perpetrator of counterfeiting money in Kemang, Bogor Regency,\nWest Java, who pretended to be a shaman for money duplication. The\nperpetrator used a printer machine to print fake money.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe modus operandi of the suspect involved copying genuine Rp100,000\nbills using an Epson-brand printer with a master printing tool,\u201d said\nDeputy Head of Criminal Investigation for Special Crimes at Metro Jaya\nPolice, AKBP Martuasah Hermindo Tobing, during a press conference on\nWednesday (1\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Martuasah stated that the perpetrator used cardboard cut in a way to\nresemble genuine money. This money was intended for deception in the\nmoney duplication scheme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen using cardboard, after that the copied results were cut using a\nJoyko-brand cutting tool, scissors, and a cutter to resemble genuine\nmoney. After that, the copied money was planned to be circulated in\nsociety under the guise of money duplication or shaman practices,\u201d he\nexplained.<\/p>\n<p>The perpetrator was arrested in a hotel room in the Kemang area,\nBogor Regency, which was also the place where he produced the fake\nmoney. At the location, police seized several pieces of evidence,\nincluding a silver-coloured box containing fake money worth Rp650\nmillion, a printer machine, and ink.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe evidence we secured includes fake rupiah notes in Rp100,000\ndenominations totalling 12,191 sheets. Details: double-sided printed\nfake money amounting to 64 packs plus 50 sheets, totalling 6,450 sheets\nof fake Rp100,000 rupiah notes,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen single-sided printed fake money amounting to 57 packs and 41\nsheets, totalling 5,741 sheets of fake Rp100,000 rupiah notes.\nAdditionally, uncut fake Rp100,000 rupiah notes amounting to 65 sheets,\u201d\nhe added.<\/p>\n<p>The perpetrator has now been designated as a suspect and detained.
