        "content": "<p>The Ministry of Housing and Settlement (PKP) has utilised Rp 1.38\ntrillion, or 13.44%, of its budget by 25 May 2026. Minister PKP Maruarar\nSirait stated that the expenditure comprises staff costs, goods and\nservices, and capital spending. \u201cThe budget utilisation for the Ministry\nof Housing up to 25 May is Rp 1.38 trillion or 13.4 per cent,\u201d said the\nGerindra Party politician during a working session with the House of\nRepresentatives\u2019 Commission V at the Parliament Complex in Senayan,\nCentral Jakarta, on Tuesday (26\/05\/2026). \u201cThis year, we aim for 97.48\nper cent utilisation, a one per cent increase from last year\u2019s\nabsorption rate,\u201d he added. The PKP Ministry\u2019s 2026 budget allocation\nstands at Rp 10.3 trillion after a reduction of Rp 58.6 billion.\nMaruarar noted that the ministry\u2019s strategic programme for 2026 remains\nfocused on home rehabilitation through the Self-Help Housing Assistance\n(BSPS) scheme. He said BSPS accounts for 83.12 per cent of the\nministry\u2019s total budget, amounting to Rp 8.57 trillion. This funding\nwill support the construction and improvement of 400,000 housing units\nin coastal, urban, and rural areas as a government priority. In addition\nto BSPS, budget allocations are also designated for the construction of\napartment units, special housing, infrastructure, facilities, and\nutilities (PSU) assistance, and slum eradication programmes.<\/p>",
